Komposti Sound on USTREAM

Recently we’ve been experimenting with live video streaming on USTREAM. It’s basically like Youtube, only live. Kinda cool, huh?

We’re using two channels at the moment. Reggae Sundays Live is for occasional streams from our weekly dance at Club YK. On Komposti Sound TV you can see us doing our radio show, vibing at some other sessions and well, time will tell what else!

Bashment Castle Mix Contest

Got a sound? Feel like playing out some more? Reggae Sundays presents a mix competition whose winner will be booked to play longside Sentinel Sound (GER), Forward Squad and Komposti at the massive dancehall rave called Bashment Castle – launched the 8th of August 2010!

* Participate with a mix or live recording at least 30 minutes long.

* Komposti’s Enrico, Bommitommi and VG will be the jury.

* Deadline for the mixes is the 5th of July. MP3 format is preferred. Upload your mix to a file sharing site (like Shareyourfiles.net or Sendspace.com) and email the download link to kompostisound AT gmail DOT com with “BASHMENT CASTLE MIX CONTEST” in the subject field. Include your selector name or the name of your sound. Other formats like CD or even video tape are OK too, as long as the jury gets the mix on time.

* The contest is open to all Finland-based sounds and selectors that haven’t played at Reggae Sundays before.

* The winner will be announced the 12th of July.

Talented yutes stand up! Let it be done!

Reggae Sundays is proud to present the leading Jamaican dancehall group TOK live on stage in July! As well as being known worldwide for countless hits like “When The Eagles Cry”, “Footprints”, “Gal You A Lead”, “No Man”, “Galang Gal”, “Money 2 Burn”, “Shake Your Bam Bam”, “Murder” and many more, TOK is considered to be one of the best dancehall reggae acts live. The members Bay-C, Craigy T, Alex and Flexx combine their vocal talent to deliver unrestrained raw energy in their trademark style that ranges from choruses in four-voice harmonies to hardcore deejaying.

Of course the night is not about just one live show; in true Reggae Sundays style we cater an all-night, all out dancehall selection from bashment classics to the latest hits with Finland’s top 3 party sounds in the building!

Secure your ticket well in advance! There are a limited amount of tickets on presale and the door tickets will be slightly more expensive.

3 years anniversary this Sunday!

We are celebrating our club’s 3 years anniversary this Sunday, playing at Redrum for the last time before getting our things together and moving to YK!.
